Their simple yet highly authentic sound and delivery, utilizing basic instruments of the day like the vielle, recorder and medieval harp, well conjures the simple means medieval composers had at their disposal. And each and every singer, Karin Weston (soprano), Michele Kennedy (soprano), Clifton Massey (countertenor), David Dickey (countertenor), Andrew Padgett (bass) and Christopher Preston Thompson (tenor and director), fully capture and convey the sentiment within each troubadour's text and intonation. It's the end of yet another year and a time to reflect on its ups and downs. Listen to this recording and you may wander and reflect back a thousand years, and realize that despite our scientific and technical achievements, the human condition hasn't changed one bit. Jean-Yves Duperron - December 2023 Anonymous: Volez vous que je vous chant?
