This recording received a Choc du Monde de la Musique award. This requiem mass by Fauré is not dark and foreboding like most, but is rather uplifting, carrying the soul to a better place. The last section of the work, "In Paradisum", is truly a representation of blissful light, and it's performed here to perfection.
